What should you expect from your Disc Jockey?
An experienced Disc Jockey does not just play music. An experienced Disc Jockey will coordinate with your other wedding professionals (Photographer, Caterer, Videographer, etc.), to make sure your wedding reception proceeds without any problems.
DJ Mike Ott entertainment will coordinate with your other wedding professionals. We will keep your guests informed of what’s going on, and we will make sure your wishes get carried out regarding the special parts of your reception (Introductions, the Toast, The Cake Cutting, The Bouquet Toss, etc.). We will make sure your photographer and videographer will be there to record those special moments when they happen, by letting them know (in advance) when you will begin your First Dance, etc.
Your Music selection is the key...
A good Disc Jockey will make sure the volume is regulated, avoid music with embarrassing lyrics, and avoid other wedding reception taboos.
As your reception begins, we play soft background music as your guests arrive. This background music will provide soft easy-listening, background music to create a formal atmosphere, and allow your guests to hold a conversation with other guests. After dinner when the dancing begins it is important to play the music that appeals to you and your guests. DJ Mike Ott is extremely familiar with the music that is popular at weddings and can help you pick music that will attract your guests to the dance floor.
