DJ Mike Ott Entertainment has been entertaining in central Pennsylvania since 1987. We are located in Mechanicsburg, and owned by the husband and wife team of Michael (“Mike”) and Penny Ott. We have been planning and performing wedding receptions and parties for over 15 years.

I started my career in November 1975 at the age of 16. I worked as a master of ceremonies and played music at a local roller skating rink. In 1983 I started a small entertainment business and performed at weddings and parties.

In 1987 I asked my wife to become my business partner and DJ Mike Ott Entertainment was born. We started doing private parties and receptions together. During this same year I started working as a club disc jockey at the Playground Lounge in Enola. The Playground Lounge later changed their name to Rumors. I was a club Disc Jockey for 10 years.

I enjoyed those years as a club DJ, but we really enjoyed the wedding receptions and private events. In November 1997 I decided to stop doing club work and my wife and I focused on weddings and parties. Since 1987 we have performed at several hundred private events and entertained for thousands of people.

Proper planning of the event is necessary for a successful outcome. We recommend a planning session two or three weeks before your special event. We will help you select your music, and we will make sure everything is the way you want it by listening to your ideas and making suggestions from our years of experience. We will create an event program that we will make available to your photographer and food service people. By preparing ahead, you can enjoy a carefree event - knowing that your desires and our experience have been combined for the outcome that you deserve.
